Economic Development Offices within the SCOR Region can also be of assistance. They can also direct you to R&D, Innovation and Commercialization support sources including Ontario Government and Government of Canada program and service information which can assist you.

Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association (OFVGA): 

The Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Growers’ Association (OFVGA) was established in 1859, which makes it one of Ontario and Canada’s oldest agriculture organizations.

As the voice of Ontario’s fruit, vegetable and greenhouse farmers, the OFVGA is a nationally recognized not-for-profit association that advocates on behalf of Ontario fruit and vegetable farmers and the edible horticulture industry, and represents its members provincially, nationally, and internationally.

The sector is comprised of over 3,500 family farms, which support over 30,000 farm-based, non-family jobs in Ontario. Over 125 different fruit and vegetable crops are grown in Ontario with an estimated annual farm gate value of $2.3 billion (2017).

The Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) in SCOR

The Ontario Federation of Agriculture’s mission is to work collaboratively for a sustainable, profitable future for farmers. They help their members with information about programs and funding within the agriculture sector and offer their members opportunities for networking and industry seminars. Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium (EMC) is a unique not-for-profit organization of manufacturers, dedicated to facilitating member development towards greater global competitiveness, as a strong community infrastructure of business.
